The European Sensory Science Society has announced the winners of the 2026 E3S Eurosense Student Awards, and two of the awardees are young researchers from SISS.

The Pieter Punter Award was awarded to Chiara Chirilli, from the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo, for her project:

“Thermal Taster Status and Oral Perception: Integrating Taste, Temperature, Texture, and Food Choices.”

The E3S Student Award was awarded to Sofia Trentanove, from the University of Florence, for her project:

“A New Gamified Tool to Explore Food Preference Patterns in Children with Varied Levels of Food Neophobia.”
